The design sensibilities follow a maximalist modern art deco style comprising sleek geometric lines, patterns, darker hues, and seamless curves. Luxurious materials like marble, veneer, onyx, mirrored ceilings and walls, and carpeted floors aid in the fusion of art deco and modern styles.
Unlike conventional movie theatres, the design circulation stays open to all. It avoids the queuing culture by introducing elements like a guest interaction counter with seating for ticketing followed by live food counters for an immersive experience.
What cuts this project above the rest is the lack of limitations on how a visitor can use it. An open-ended set-up promotes a free-flowing circulation where visitors can enjoy a bucket of popcorn while watching a movie or have a scrumptious meal with a sushi platter at the live counter. Or else, one can simply take a stroll around this Instagramable space walking across the memorabilia. The lounge-y seating around the space with mirrored ceilings and walls promotes a decadent and sensorial experience for the connoisseurs.
All this together sets the mood for a grand movie-watching experience for the cognoscenti of the film world. Insignia has over five auditoriums with plush recliner seating arrangements. The auditorium turns the movie-watching experience into a luxe affair with a selective crowd of 36 on reclining chairs. Going to the technology aspect, the Laserplex screens, the Dolby Atmos sound, and 3D by Volfoni Systems add to the spectacular cinematic experience.
In parallel to TPA’s signature style, every pertinent inch is looked after. The attention to detail and eccentricity follow through the marble-clad washrooms. Be it the Onyx-lit washbasins, walls with Golden Portoro, or the lit door and wall panels– every square inch of space lend an eclectic vibe.

This being an upscale Mumbai location, the challenge was to create a never-seen-before-upmarket experience for the city. Moreover, as the site was located within a mall, height restrictions were pronounced. This was addressed with mirrored ceilings and walls to give a spacious look while maximising the space in terms of functionality. And the result was an unmatched movie-watching experience.
